Annual Food Basket Project

Friday, December 7 (evening)
Saturday, December 8 (morning)
Food Basket is one of the premier community events sponsored by the Indianapolis Jaycees. For Food Basket, 500-600 boxes of food are prepared, with each box sustaining a family of four for one week. This project makes a big impact prior to the holidays for our less fortunate neighbors.

On Friday night, you can help us fill the boxes with the food items, tape, count, and load boxes onto pallets or trucks. To distribute the boxes, the Jaycees partners with several different local service agency partners (SAP's), such as Shepherd Community, CAFE (Community Alliance of the Far Eastside), and the Damien Center, to name a few. The boxes are delivered by Jaycees volunteers to the SAP, and then the SAP distributes the baskets to their clients as they determine the need.

Packaging will be Friday, December 7 at Bosma Enterprises
(8020 Zionsville Rd Indianapolis In 46268)
4PM - 10PM (or whenever we conclude)

Food, beverages and door prizes will be available for volunteers on Friday. Please feel free to join us, even if you can't be there at 4 or stay the entire time.

Delivering will be Saturday, December 8, meeting at Bosma Enterprises
(8020 Zionsville Rd Indianapolis In 46268)
8AM - 11AM (or whenever we conclude)
Bagels and juice will be available for volunteers on Saturday when meeting at Bosma.
