Announcements

In case you're not aware, the Broad Ripple Arts Fair is this weekend, May 19 and 20. The Broad Ripple Arts Fair is the largest fundraising event for the Indianapolis Art Center and attracts more than 25,000 visitors. This year, there will be over 200 artists and bands performing on 4 stages! It should be a great event! And, as you can imagine, a lot of volunteers are required to make the event a success.

The Jaycees were contacted over the weekend with an urgent request for a couple of extra volunteers to help serve concessions such as sodas and alcohol. There are two shift times: 12:30-4:00PM and 3:45-7:15PM. The need is for 3 volunteers for the early shift, and 2 for the late shift. Volunteer alcohol permits will be required.

From the President's perspective, I think this speaks very highly of the Jaycees that when we staff a concessions event like this, we can be depended upon to act with integrity and to make sure that all of the product and funds are accounted for at the end of the event. This is a great reputation to have, and I think we should all be honored to be part of an organization that has earned such a reputation these past several years.

If you are interested in volunteering, please let either myself or Jennifer Collins of the Indianapolis Art Center know. I can be contacted at President@indyjaycees.org, and Jennifer can be contacted at Jennifer@indplsartcenter.org.
