Corn Booth at the Indiana State Fair

August 8-19, 2007
Did you know that for 2007 the official food for the Indiana State Fair is CORN? Did you also know that this year is the 42nd consecutive year for the Indy Jaycees Corn Booth?

For those who don't know, Corn Booth is the single biggest project the Indy Jaycees takes on every year. The stakes for Corn Booth are impressive: over 200 volunteers during the 12 days of the State Fair are needed to successfully run Corn Booth! But the payoff is just as big. Last year, we netted over $25,000 for the Chapter! We know these are all big numbers, but this is nothing new because the Chapter has done Corn Booth for 41 years!

We need about 90 volunteers. While this may seem like a big number, if each Jaycee invites a couple of friends, neighbors, and co-workers to help, we can easily reach this goal. Also, working a couple of Corn Booth shifts is a lot of fun and a great way to introduce friends to the Jaycees. Once again, by looking at ways to build relationships, we can use Corn Booth not only as a fundraiser, but also as a unique and fun recruitment, marketing, and networking tool.

Thank you in advance for your support! With your help, we can make the 2007 Corn Booth a big success!
