FAST FACTS History The United States Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) was founded in 1920 to provide opportunities for young men to develop personal and leadership skills through service to others. The Jaycees later expanded to include women, reflecting the growing influence and leadership of women in America. The Indianapolis chapter was founded in 1933. Board of Directors The Indianapolis Jaycees Board of Directors meets on a monthly basis. The board is made up of a chapter president, secretary, treasurer, chairman of the board and area vice-presidents. Areas include Membership, Community, Individual Development and Marketing. Dues Annual dues are $85 per year. Many times employers will sponsor membership because of the opportunities for professional development and networking provided by becoming a member. Chapter Meetings Please check calendar for chapter meeting times and dates. M-Nights Membership Nights (M-Nights) are held the second Tuesday of every month from 7 -9 pm. Locations vary by month. Members and prospective members gather in a social atmosphere to build relationships and share in the Jaycee spirit. The Creed The Jaycees Creed is the guiding principle of our organization. WE BELIEVE Chairman's Planning Guide (CPG) The Chairman's Planning Guide, or most often referred to as CPG, is the guide used by the chapter to properly plan and evaluate projects. It addresses the intended outcomes, budget, resources, and other important project planning information. The CPG later serves as a resource for members planning the same project in the future.
