2007 BOARD GOALS

Fellow Jaycees!

I'm excited for the state events for the coming year! President Taaron Meyers has chosen the theme "Back on Track" for 2007 and it certainly hits home for the Indianapolis Jaycees. It's time for the Indy Jaycees to make their presence known again, not only in the Indianapolis community, but also within the Indiana Junior Chamber and the U.S. Junior Chamber. We produce quality events for our members and the community; it's time we make sure that hard work is congratulated through state recognition!

Another way for the Indiana Jaycees to feel the impact of our chapter is through participation at the state and national events. There are many coming up through the summer and fall months and it can be our opportunity to shine as a chapter! Personally, I would love to see more competitors in state conventions and higher attendance from our members at those conventions. This past month, two of our members competed in national contests, Traci Powell in the Armbruster Competition and Noelle Dunckel in the Speak-Up Competition. Both did a fantastic job and should be congratulated on their efforts!

The following state and nationals events will be held throughout the summer and fall and your participation as a competitor, judge or delegate is GREATLY encouraged. For more information on how to get involved with these events, contact Noelle Dunckel at NoelleDunckel@bestbuddies.org or at 317.292.4606.
